Five fold ministry brings unity within the church!

As I was reading this particular passage of Ephesians 4 I while ago, I suddenly received the following revelation:

"Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4:11‭-‬16 NLT"

I was suddenly struck with the revelation which I believe is this:

Unless we have the full five fold ministry operating in our leadership team at church, we wouldn't see believers fully equipped and empowered to be mature disciples of Jesus, doing what He has called us to do. We also wouldn't see the unity that the five fold ministry is supposed to give within our churches.

As I am reading this passage, it dawns on me that unless we have the five fold fully operating in our churches, our congregations will not attain the fullness of Christ, people will easily be swayed to all winds of teaching and fall into the lies of false doctrines etc and their won't be any unity within our church...

Here's what I believe each individual five fold gifting is needed for in our churches:

The apostles instill vision into the members of the congregation, encouraging them to look into their future and where they want to be.

Prophets teach and equip members of the congregation to hear God in their everyday life, so they can speak into other People's lives. The prophet also brings direction into the lives of people in the congregation and to the church.

Evangelists equip and empower the members of the congregation to be bold and effective witnesses for Jesus and to share the Gospel wherever they are.

Teachers empower members in the congregation to read scripture and study the word intensively, so they grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Pastors / shepherds equip the members of the congregation to be pastoral and to look after one another and to care for the people in their community.

Without the five fold active in our churches, people will miss out on the fullness Christ has to offer them and the unity that we are to bring in our churches. Would you say that this is indeed true and we need to fervently pray that leaders grasp the fact that they need the full five fold ministry operating in their senior leadership team??
